Do you have an estate (or are generally in the process of downsizing) with furniture items that you are hoping to sell and/or consign?
Are the pieces in good condition and have been in a non-smoking home? Let us help you make the most of things and find your items loving new homes with a quick and easy process! From full estates to individual furniture pieces, we are happy to take a look at what you have! GETTING STARTED: Here at Charmaine's Past & Present we are always buying (and consigning) furniture, and are here to make the process as simple as it possibly can be for you! All that it takes to get started is a couple of pictures sent to our email of the items in question, and we will get back to you lickety-split with a reply to let you know if we can take items on for you and, of course, to help you along with the next steps. If email is not your thing, you are also welcome to bring photos by the shop between Wednesday-Saturday and Charmaine can take a look at them for you right here in the store! ☺️ And, there is no need to worry about cleaning things up before sending them in, as we give each and every item that comes into the shop a bit of a freshen up with our favourite products prior to pricing them. PLEASE NOTE! We are unable to give price estimates from your photos alone, but we have over 25 years of pricing experience in our local market, and always strive to make the process of parting with your furniture as simple and rewarding for you as is possible! We should also mention that we do not offer appraisal services. If you are planning to sell something privately and are wanting to determine a price for your item, we highly recommend Alison Ross Appraisals! OUR RATES: Our consignment rate is 50/50, which means that once all of the items you have brought into the shop have sold and left the store, we will write you a cheque for 50% of the sale price and give you a call and/or send you an email letting you know that your cheque is ready to be picked up at your earliest convenience! Or, if you are set to be moving out of town, we are happy to discuss mailing the cheque to you! If your piece requires a bit more cleaning than a quick wipe with our products is able to solve, then Charmaine will discuss adjusting our 50/50 rate to accommodate the added time spent revitalizing your beloved furniture, but this is something that we generally strive to avoid. GETTING YOUR ITEMS TO THE STORE: With furniture coming and going from the shop each and every day, we have wonderful movers that we can recommend to bring your pieces into the shop! Both lovely to work with and exceedingly careful, they are your absolute best bet for getting items into the store safe and sound. (Not to mention that they have very reasonable rates for items in transit to or from our shop!) |
